Kelly Kasheta, Esq

Kelly received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Connecticut in 1984 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1987. She is admitted to practice before the Connecticut courts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Kelly clerked for the Honorable Judge James D. O’Connor after graduating from law school. She balances pursuing the practice of law with education, public and community service. For more than 25 years, Kelly’s law practice garnered her experience in all manner of personal injury cases, representing injured individuals and their families. She developed respect and admiration for the expert witness consultants and testifying experts whom she had the opportunity to work with and learn from, covering a wide variety of subject matter expertise from the ranks of engineers, economists, accountants, vocational and occupational rehabilitative therapists, forensic scientists and medical professionals covering many disciplines. Though a capable litigator, most notable is her passion for interacting with people and forming relationships and alliances throughout her career.

Kelly is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, and has served as a member of the House of Delegates, the Committee on Unauthorized Practice of Law, serving as their legislative liaison, and the Court Visitation Program for Hartford County Schools. She has maintained membership in the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the Hartford County Bar Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Kelly has actively served her community as a member of the Enfield Montessori School Board of Trustees and its Outreach Committee, has been involved with area high schools in their youth apprenticeship/job shadowing programs, is a member of the Paralegal Studies Advisory Committee at Manchester Community College, and has been active in the St. Francis of Assisi Church catechism program for the past 25 years. Kelly resides with her husband and son on a productive 5th generation family farm along the Connecticut River, where she cares for her horses, collies and other four-legged charges.
